I'm a West London Lifestyle Newborn and Family Photographer that’s all about relaxed, fun and natural photography for laid-back families. My goal for each session is to document the story of your family; the love, genuine laughs, playtime, and hugs. I may get a few 'everyone look at the camera' shots but most of the session will be pretty casual. Lifestyle photography allows families to have fun and be themselves in the shoot and I will capture the love and connection while providing you with some gentle guidance and direction throughout the session. It's a little bit posed, a little bit documentary but most importantly it's the story of your family as you are, at this moment in time!
During an in-home lifestyle family session, I like to capture some of those simple everyday moments. It may not seem very special, or picture worthy having a quick lunch together in the kitchen. But think about it - isn’t this who you truly are as a family? An in-home lifestyle family session with me is more than just photographs of what your family looks like; it’s a glimpse into who your family is and your everyday life. Capturing these moments provides you with lasting memories of these fleeting times.
Here are some photos of a recent in-home lifestyle family session I captured in Stoke Newington, London. A wonderful family with two young boys. Kit was born 3 months ago and friends of theirs had kindly gifted them a voucher for an in-home family shoot with me. I got there around 11 am and we started with a play in the living room to allow big brother Joe (2,5) to warm up to me, then Joe (2,5) got a bit hungry, so we just went with the flow and all went to the kitchen so he could have his lunch. After lunch we had some fun in the master bedroom, jumping around on the parent's bed. And after all that excitement we did a bit of storytime to get Joe ready for his nap. While big brother Joe slept, I got some photos of the parents with baby Kit. I hope that gives you a bit of an insight into what happens at an in-home lifestyle family shoot. But to be honest every shoot is different because every family is so different. But what I captured and saw in this family? A bit of everyday life, a little bit of chaos, a lot of laughs and SO SO much love!
